Why Newborn Sizing Actually Matters
Two babies of the same age can need different clothing sizes. Weight and total body length give you a more useful starting point than age alone. ZB separates Newborn: 3.2–4.0 kg / 53–56 cm from 0–3 Months: 4.0–5.7 kg / 56–62 cm.
If your baby is smaller than the Newborn range, look at Early Baby or the smaller fits in our Preemie & NICU collection. If the two measurements fall into different ranges, ask our team before ordering. Recheck measurements as your baby grows and compare them with the full size guide.
Fabric & Comfort
The range includes cotton single-jersey and cotton interlock pieces for everyday dressing. Fabric, openings and finishing vary by article, so read the selected product’s details and care label. Choose a sleeve style and layers that suit the conditions, and check that necklines, cuffs and fastenings sit comfortably.

ZB’s Newborn size is approximately 3.2–4.0 kg and 53–56 cm in total body length. Check both current measurements against the size guide, then confirm that the product and design you choose offer Newborn. Age is a guide, not a guarantee of fit.
Is newborn size the same as 0-3 months?
No. ZB has separate Newborn and 0–3 Months sizes. Newborn is approximately 3.2–4.0 kg / 53–56 cm; 0–3 Months is approximately 4.0–5.7 kg / 56–62 cm. This collection includes both sizes and selected styles up to 9–12 Months.
What newborn clothes does a baby actually need for the first week?
